Background of the Study
Transportation disruptions, including road closures, fuel shortages, and security challenges, significantly impact supply chain resilience, defined as the ability of a supply chain to recover quickly from disruptions. Resilience is critical for maintaining operational continuity, minimizing losses, and ensuring customer satisfaction (Sheffi, 2024). For Dangote Transport, a key player in the Nigerian logistics sector operating in Yobe State, transportation disruptions pose serious risks to supply chain performance.
Yobe State faces unique challenges, including poor infrastructure and security concerns, which exacerbate transportation disruptions. These challenges underscore the need for resilient supply chain practices that can mitigate risks and ensure continuity (Ahmed & Bello, 2023). This study evaluates the impact of transportation disruptions on supply chain resilience at Dangote Transport, offering insights into effective mitigation strategies.
Statement of the Problem
Transportation disruptions are a major source of inefficiency and risk in supply chain operations. Despite efforts to improve resilience, Dangote Transport faces frequent disruptions in Yobe State, affecting delivery timelines, increasing costs, and compromising customer satisfaction (Mustapha et al., 2024). These issues highlight the need for effective strategies to enhance supply chain resilience in the face of transportation challenges.
While previous studies have explored supply chain resilience in broader contexts, limited research focuses on transportation disruptions in regions like Yobe State. This study addresses this gap by analyzing the impact of transportation disruptions on supply chain resilience at Dangote Transport.

Scope and Limitations of the Study
This study focuses on Dangote Transport’s operations in Yobe State, analyzing the impact of transportation disruptions on supply chain resilience. The research is limited to the logistics sector in Yobe State and does not extend to other regions or industries. Constraints include security concerns that may limit data collection and the dynamic nature of transportation challenges.
